Tiffany Fung is a versatile teacher, pianist, and organist, and performs actively as a solo and collaborative musician. Her performances have taken her to France, Hong Kong, Italy, and the United States.
She recently received the Diamond Prize in the World Exceptional Musicians Competition in August 2024. She was named the Alternate in the MTNA Oregon Performance Competition: Young Artist Category in 2020. She received the First prize at the “Best Performance of Rachmaninoff” of the GCC Series in 2021 and was awarded the First prize in the GCC Series Piano Concerto Competition with Chopin’s Second Piano Concerto in 2020. She was one of the finalists in the 2016 Maccagno Piano Days Competition in Italy.
Tiffany gave a masterclass and guest artist recital at Berea College in 2023. She was the instructor of record for the secondary piano classes and applied piano for voice-performance major students at the University of Florida from 2021-2024. In 2022, she was the instructor of “Piano Bravo: Piano Workshop for Beginners” at UF Community Music School. She has assisted the International Piano Festival, Sacred Music Workshop, University Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, Song Literature Seminars, and Voice Audition Days during her studies at UF.
As a collaborative musician, Tiffany has taken part in a range of chamber music concerts and is frequently sought after as a collaborative pianist. She has served as the piano accompanist of instrumentalists, vocalists, string and vocal studios, and choirs, including the Gainesville Orchestra, Skiskiyou Violins, Collegium Musicum Hong Kong, Southern Oregon University Chamber Choir and Hong Kong Baptist University Choir. She has recently performed collaboratively in the concert series at the University of Florida, First Presbyterian Church, and the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Gainesville, Florida.
Tiffany’s other interests include organ, harpsichord, and fortepiano. She serves regularly as an organist in local churches. Her recent performance includes the Gainesville AGO Spring Organ Concert at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, the Nine Lessons and Carols at the Gainesville First Presbyterian Church, and the Organ Concert at the Ocala Joy Lutheran Church. She performed harpsichord and was interviewed by “Close to Culture” on Hong Kong i-cable TV in 2018. She has served as the continuo keyboardist of Collegium Musicum Hong Kong in 2018 and 2019.
A native of Hong Kong, Tiffany began her musical journey at the age of seven. She holds degrees from Hong Kong Baptist University (BA Hons. in Music), Southern Oregon University (MM), and the University of Florida (DMA). Her principal teachers have included Jasmin Arakawa, Alexander Tutunov, and Linda Yim. In addition to piano studies, she studied organ with Laura Ellis, and harpsichord and fortepiano with David Chung. She holds the Art Graduate Certificate – Arts in Public Health. She was a distinguished Evans Family Endowed Scholar (2019-2021) and received the UF Graduate Student Research Award twice (2023, 2024).
